First drummer I ever played professionally with, still one of my top favorites. My dad and Tim's dad had an interesting discussion one time about whether he played more like Kruppa or Rich. More liek Baker or Miles I think. Great guy.
Fom the time I was 8 years old thru high school and beyond Sammy was my best friend. I miss him and think of him often. Rest in peace my brother. He was a great person and had a good heart. He taught me a lot about music appreciation. I have too many stories to tell and I am not sure the statute of limitations has run out. lol
Wow! Sammy is gone too. He was a good friend that lived in the same neighborhood just three strees over from me. We had great time jamming at Mark Sacco's house.Great Drummer too. Seems like yesterday but it was a long time ago. R.I.P. bud.
